Copenhagen Airport

In 1935 the Danish architect Vilhelm Lauritzen built a new terminal building for the Danish airline company DDL; about 65 years later, in only one night, it was moved to a location four kilometres away, where it underwent elaborate restoration. Today, this hall is the official reception building for state visits.

With the exception of the change in the utilisation of the building, all details were restored to their original condition, with top quality standards being required in terms of materials and design. The main hall is now illuminated by a classic luminaire, with a light distributor in the form of a globe and the wall luminaires in a formally analogous design.

The uniform frosting of the light distributor ensures a soft light effect from the hand-blown opal glass elements. This gives the room harmony and places lasting emphasis on its elegance, even in the dark.
